Despite supposedly recovering from surgery, Todd Kelly can't resist getting behind the wheel of the new Nissan Altima V8 Supercar at Calder Park.

Nissan, Kelly Racing and Jack Daniels have come to an agreement to sponsor the two Kelly brothers cars for the next few years, probably can't do it now as the current deal is with Holden.

The other 2 Kelly Racing Nissans will probably be sponsored by Norton with James Moffat making the switch from DJR.

Strange in that the Nissan hasnt JD (whiskey) sponsor but the transporter and crew are plastered with it!!!! Nonetheless all well and good and they'd better not get drunk on JD!

With the re-introduction of BMW to DTM this year and their partnership with Super GT as well as Nissan coming to V8 Supercars, it appears that touring car series are getting more investment and probably more exposure as a result. Fine by me, I enjoy it all :D

@CommonSense - it was NEVER going to be a GTR as it needs to be 4 door sedan, plus pretty sure Nissan wants to keep the GTR for its Japanese GT/DTM projects

Also the VRH50A appears to be a racing engine based on a production engine, not ACTUALLY a production engine
