Team BOC has revealed the signing of Jason Richards for the upcoming V8 Supercar Championship season.

Richards will move to BOC after leaving Tasman Motorsport at the end of the 2008 campaign and he will be re-united with race engineer Wally Storey in making the move to the Brad Jones Racing-run outfit.

"This is an exciting time in my V8 Supercar career," he said. "With Brad stepping away from full-time driving to focus on the management of the team, I saw a new focus and significant improvement at BJR, I'm looking forward to being part of the next step.

"With the switch to Holden, Team BOC now has access to some awesome equipment and the thought of hooking up with Wally really sealed the decision to move to Team BOC."

Team co-owner Brad Jones was also pleased with the new deal.

"Jason has a wealth of V8 Supercar experience and is the ideal driver to compliment Team BOC this year," he said. "On his day, he's proven himself to be one of the quickest guys in the series.

"That's what we'll be expecting from him again this year."
