Lowes: Things are looking good
Bogdanka PTR Honda's Sam Lowes is feeling confident he can make further progress tomorrow after sealing provisional pole at Portimao in Portugal.

The World Supersport contender is confident of maintaining his momentum on the Honda CBR600RR and managed to set the fastest lap at the Portuguese venue despite encountering some set-up issues with the bike in the morning session.

“We had a few problems in the morning but worked round them for the qualifying,” said Lowes, who took the top spot from fellow PTR rider Jules Cluzel with Fabien Foret third on the Intermoto Kawasaki.

“The track wasn't too fast today but we've made a good step with the bike and will keep working towards the race tomorrow.

“We have a few things to try in the morning and will work on our race pace but things are looking good,” he added.

“I'm enjoying the track and looking forward to the rest of the weekend.”
