If they can supply Chris with a good car I'm sure everyone will be surprised with what he can do!

According to Petter on ROC they will get in Acropolis in May. It was never the intention to have it ready for round 1 and they have just finished building it in december from what i know, im sure Subaru realise that 2008 will be testing year for the new car and that they don't realy have the intention to fight for championships and just take good results as a bonuis this year.

Do you mean surprised at just how much damage he can do?

The reason why Chris has crashed alot is of course because he has to push the car to the limit same with Petter. Chris is a very fast driver remember he tokk stagewins in his first year in wrc, Latvala got his first in Rally Norway

It's funny how everyone is bagging Chris for crashing a lot. I seem to remember a certain Colin McRae did the same thing in his early career and look how he ended up - World Champion. And before anyone gets on their high horse, I'm not saying that Chris is as good as Colin, just making a point about early career crashes.

Chris is undoubtedly one of the top 5 drivers in the WRC right now and is capable of swapping stage times with the best out there - in the right car. The problem seems to be with the team structure and the internal politics that are involved there. If only they put in as much effort into developing the car with the right people and in the right direction instead of spending up big time on flashy trucks and service park equipment (which do look fantastic - but don't make the car go any quicker !) And actually concentrate on developing a car to suit each driver rather than expecting Chris to put up with "hand me" down parts and a compromised and wrong set-up from Petter - then watch him go !
