Because Gronholm has no chance of beating loeb he shouldn't come back? By this logic everybody except Loeb should retire. The man loves the sport and if he wants to compete again then he should come back regardless of what place he would finish.

Howard Davies believes Marcus Gronholm should shelve any plans he has to return to the WRC.

First of all I dont think he will return at all,Phil is right in saying that it would take Marcus a few events to get back upto speed and so he would only go through that if he could come out the other side having found his old speed and start to win Rallies again, secondly I think Marcus realises that the pace has slightly moved on again since he left the sport, I think Marcus would of been third in Finland this year and I dont think Marcus wants to be anywhere except 1st,especially in Finland where he has won the last 6 times in a row that he entered with the exception of Marko's win there in 2004. It would be good to see him winning again-sure, but I think Howard is right, its just rumours

Some good points, it would be hard even to return for a one off drive because of the cost and limited seat, but may be a potential to come back with new S2000s with more manufacturers.

I think Mikko is still trying to be as good as Marcus in the driving side when it comes to control. Watching onboards and helicopter coverages gives you a good idea. Mikko doesn't have that smoothness and has a lot of sideway action, Marcus can go fast without making those small mistakes. I don't care about how many rallies and world championship you win, to me at the top of his career I agree with Petter that Marcus could be a little faster than Loeb if on the same car, on gravel.
