Congratulations Seb. This is a true champion. Outstanding driver, fantastic to watch, a real motorsport legend and a nice guy to go with it. This should really be his sixth title as he surrendered his own title chances in 2003 to help Citroen win the manufacturers title. Not many at the pinnacle of any sport would do that. Well done to Mikko, Dani and Jari this season. Here''s looking forward to 2009, should be a cracker with all these guys getting quicker along with Chris Atkinson. Subaru need to get Meeke or Wilks into that car to have any hope of getting close to Ford and Citroen.

Hirvonen may be able to stop him next year but record can''t be broken before 2014!

Good drive from Latvala, think the threat of losing his job spurred him on, and he did a good job, saying that, I don't think you can take away from the brilliance that is Sebastien Loeb, like you say a true champion

congratulations seb. lovely controlled drive and for once, ford could not use unsavoury tactics. but for these, the title would have been sewn up before japan. lets hope that they fight clean next year. are you listening malcom?

This is great news, this will probably never be achieved again because Hirvonen may be the closest, but think of the points all the Ford drivers have lost for getting out of the way of Hirvonen. Loeb is the only true complete package in the WRC i think.

The only way Hirvonen will beat him is if every ford jump out of his way all the time.

But Mikko proved this year he will surely be a future world champion, because he improved a lot on tarmac, and he has to win on tarmac if he wants to be world champion.
Latvala, Sordoand Atkinson were not ridiculous this year, and this will give us fantastic moments next year, surely.

What a guy and what a talent now only his 7 year in the WRC and 5 titles,WOW.
2009 will cracking year noe that Citroen and Subaru are planing the extension of the team to M2 teams and that means more drivers

Amazing but soooooooooooooo boring.

There is nothing worse in any sport than seeing the same person/team win year after year and this is what usually ends up seeing people and teams being hated, which is a shame.

Just hope that someone (Hirvonen/Latvala or Sordo) beat him soon or I am going to turn off.

Dull.
