Have to disagree with you james, the rally gb would be better if it got moved from wales. The real reason there is a poor turnout of fans this and in previous year is because most people are sick of it being in wales. Most people in come in to contact with say it should be moved to include different parts of britain, portugal and australia have benefit by moving there rallies round different parts of there countries.

Dont tell me kevin are you from up north by any chance? It's understandable that everyone wants the rally on their doorstep. It isn't a case of the rally being better Wales offers some of the best stages in the uk. It's has the road network and accomadation to cope with the thousands of fans. It is very easy to acces for commuters from all over the world. I think this is great news let's hope it stays in Wales for many years to come it can only get better. The reason for the poor turnout is the credit crunch I'm not sure if anyone has told you about it hopefully we will start to see the teams returning soon and I look forward to the s2000 cars they will sound great :)

Fantastic news. I totally agree with James. Wales has proper stages. The WRC only uses some of the popular ones. There are many more available in Wales which back in the RAC were used. I think a bit more stage variety is needed.

the reason there were only 63 cars is that entrys were open late and that there was a lot of uncertainty surounding the event the other reason for poor sepectator numbers is a lack of publicity i think because i live in cardiff and if i wasnt a rally fan i wouldnt have known the rally was coming

OK so it stays in Wales BUT can we have a base move to Chester and then get the classic North Wales stages. :)

Well, this was my 10th year at Rally GB and I wondered what others thoughts were. Did anyone actually get any signal on 87.7??? I have dribs and drabs and I actually got better signal back home than in Wales. Couldnt hear a thing, just crackling. Secondly, the marshals, like little Hitlers, put an orange vest on them and their like God. I stood somewhere that I and 15 others felt was safe for 15 minutes until all the front runners had gone through, then Hitler came along and told us to move. Next day Was told to stand behind the tape "THIRTY" metres away from a straight road, what exactly did they think would happen??, the car spin off 90% at 100 mph?? Idiots, cut it out and let us enjoy it
