"We have seen time and again that consistency and precision are absolutely crucial to success on this rally, and the same is proving true this year. Petter and Phil have not put a wheel wrong and, along with some good stage times, have climbed to fourth today as a result. Conversely, it is shame to see Mads Ostberg retire today on stage 14 as he was running strongly for Subaru in fifth position."
Shusuke Inagaki [Suzuki WRT - team director]:
"We always knew that today would be more difficult for us than yesterday but we have succeeded in our main objective, which is to bring two cars safely to the finish, ready for the final push tomorrow. The last day of the rally is nearly as long as the preceding two days, so anything can still happen. With both cars in a points-scoring position, we are well placed to end the season on a positive note, providing we steer clear of trouble."
Malcolm Wilson [Stobart VK M-Sport Ford WRT - team boss]:
"Today has been another tough test with all the Stobart cars again running faultlessly and making it back to Parc Ferme in one piece. The big mover today has been Valentino who has jumped nine positions up the leaderboard to 15th. It is fantastic to see his pace has improved as he is now getting used to the conditions. Tomorrow will be a very difficult day judging by the weather forecast but hopefully the Stobart crews will continue their flawless run and all make it to the finish ramp."
