Galli returns to action

Gigi Galli has made a return to competitive action for the first time since suffering a broken leg after appearing in the Bettega Memorial Rallysprint event at the Bologna Motor Show.

The Stobart VK M-Sport driver suffered the injury in an accident on Rally Germany and was forced to sit out the remainder of the WRC season as a result.

However, the Italian was able to return to action at the wheel of a Ford Focus WRC for the annual event as he looked to secure victory for the third time; having previously tasted success in both 2005 and 2006.

Galli finished second in the event to the Citroen of Dani Sordo.
