IRC: Cronin to make S2000 debut in Scotland

Keith Cronin to make Super 2000 debut on the final round of the IRC in Scotland
Keith Cronin is to make his debut in a Super 2000 car on RACMSA Rally of Scotland, the final round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge season.

Cronin won this season's British Rally Championship in a Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer E9 and had been due to use that car on the IRC finale.

However, he will instead switch to an Abarth Grande Punto S2000, run by the Italian Procar team, which will mark his debut in a Super 2000 car.

“Super 2000 is the way rallying is going in the future and I want to be a part of it,” he said. “That means I need to drive a Super 2000 car as soon as possible.

“I could probably get a better result in my Ralliart because of my experience and I would like to have more time in one before Scotland but it's a great opportunity for me and I'll be doing my best to make the most of it.”
