Citroen's
Sebastien Loeb has won Rally de Espana to sign-off his full-time WRC career with his 76th victory.
Loeb took top spot in the second stage on Saturday, when day one leader
Mads Ostberg lost time with an off and slipped back. The Frenchman then proceeded to pull out a gap over Jari-Matti Latvala, finishing the second leg with a 27 second cushion. He eventually triumphed by 7 seconds.
Latvala meanwhile took the runners-up spot to give Ford the 'silver' medal on its final official outing in the WRC. He also won the Power Stage too.
Behind,
Mikko Hirvonen was third, ahead of
Mads Ostberg and Jarkko Nikara. Craig Breen, Chris Atkinson, Per-Gunnar Andersson, Dani Sordo and Evegny Novikov rounded out the top ten.
In the support categories, Breen took the SWRC win and with it the 2012 SWRC title, while similarly Benito Guerra won the PWRC class and claimed the Production title.
