Ott Tanak ended 2012 on a high by taking his first WRC podium result in Sardinia, the penultimate event of the season.

He also took points finishes in Monte Carlo, Mexico, Argentina, Greece, Finland and France – his next best result after taking third in Italy, the fifth place he achieved in Mexico.

In addition he managed eight stage wins, including the Power Stage 'victory' in France.

Despite all that though, he also threw away good points results on a number of occasions - most noticeably in New Zealand, Wales and Spain, and as yet has still to confirm his programme for 2013.
