WSS: Power for Parkalgar

Simon Buckmaster may have recently stated that he'd take having a top team over top speed every time, but his riders Craig Jones and Miguel Praia could be enjoying the best of both worlds this weekend at Assen after more horsepower was extracted from Parkalgar's CBR600RR.

Since the last round at Valencia the team has been busy at its Louth headquarters working on engine developing, resulting in a 'noticeable' gain in horsepower, along with a mid-range boost.

"The Parkalgar Honda team has been very busy behind the scenes finding more useable horsepower," confirmed Buckmaster. "The result has been encouraging and we will arrive at Assen with the most powerful bikes the riders have ever had and that is good for performance, morale and confidence."

Jones finished third at Valencia and is sitting fifth in the championship. Assen is one of his favourite circuits and he is hoping for support from UK travelling fans.

“Craig has scored two podiums out of three starts and now he is visiting a track he really likes for the first time this season. He has been training hard recently and is more focussed than ever on winning races and the Championship. We have high hopes he can bring home more silverware from Assen.

Praia scored a single point last time out by finishing 15th and is targeting the top ten at the famous 4.55km Dutch circuit.

"Miguel has scored points in two out of three races so far and is bubbling with enthusiasm," he said. "He is eager to keep improving every time he rides and we are expecting another scoring finish this weekend."
