WSBK » Corser does it again

Yamaha Italia's Troy Corser has once again secured the number one spot to take provisional pole position at Vallelunga. He left it until the final ten minutes of the session to post his fast time, beating Troy Bayliss by just 0.041secs to pole.

Come on Troy, let's get that 41st pole tomorrow and nail one or two wins well deserved on Sunday ! You're definitely still one of the very best riders around, probably the only one able to challenge Troy Bayliss in terms of sheer speed.
And remember Bayliss has duly spanked asses in MotoGP, all of them !

I'll be following a very similar routine to the last race, going 80 miles to my mates tomorrow to watch superpole and then staying over for the races. I'm not superstitious(sp?)but i'll give anything a whirl if it means Nori comes away with loads of points over his rivals....already looking forward to going to Magny Cours to watch the final races ..tickets and camping booked :)

I wouldn't bet against Bayliss taking the double on Sunday. Troy Corser is Mr Superpole but hasn't shown that he can sustain that pace over the the length of a race. Nori will be the stronger on race day and I believe it will be between him and Bayliss. I agree, Toseland will have a difficult race as there are few long straights and too many tight corners. On this type of circuit, he seems to struggle.

JT only needs 9 more points than Nori, & he's got a couple more sessions to dial the bike in- he'll be in with a shout of taking the title no doubt.
