This is really a sad day for Motorcycle fans all over the world.I find it very difficult to understand the difficulty in getting sponsors. The same thing happened to Ilmor. :?

Plenty of new sponsors are coming into the sport - like Hannspree with Ten Kate for example. But what they look for are professionally run operations with credible people. Nuff said?

Right, as suspected. I think we are allowing our dislike for Foggy, to get in the way of the real story here. That being, probably no MV Augustas in WSBK next year. Now that is a disappointment. And before you all say that Kenny Roberts will bring MVs into WSBK, well he is also having sponsorship issues in MotoGP and its only the help he is getting from Dorna that is keeping his team afloat. Its a shame, I'd love to have seen MVs in WSBK, no matter who ran them. I think that for every Hannspree coming in, we lose plenty of others. Don't think we have fully replaced all the tobacco cash.

I know you will probably laugh but MV Augusta will either be in in BSB or WSB next year with Paul Birds Stobart team. He has made no secret of his desire to get back with a factory and this will give him the best opportunity to achieve this. He has the infrastructure and more importantly the sponsorship.

Posted by chu .....................this guy is a bellend, and in answer to his question, more people in the motorcycle racing community care and will be disappointed with this. I dont think there will be many who take this as good news, unless they are low lifes like chu!

The sad thing is Foggy could fund the whole exercise from his own pocket, from his Petronas profits. The team could start the seasom, demonstrate to sponsors what they'd get, but no. You know, it would be like, an investment, on a par with what he's asking sponsors for.

So cos sponsors won't do what he won't do, he's pulled the plug. Pathetic.
