Well, it's a pity, he did not win the cahampionship. His performance in terms of constant velocity under all circumstances was much more impressive thant that of Toseland. Only bad luck, in form of a Biaggi, denied him the title.

WSBK » Haga denied - again

Noriyuki Haga did all he could to snatch a dramatic World Superbike title victory from James Toseland in Sunday's Magny-Cours finale - winning both races with ease, but was still left just two points short.

Asmaco, I think it's a question of personal perspective ( i.e. who you admire the most and want to win) in this particular instance.
Both Haga and Toseland have been exceptional in their commitment, as has Corser and Bayliss.#
Personally (as a Brit) I'm glad Toseland won, but I would also have been warmly impressed and pleased for Haga if he had got the championship. Great rivals make champions great champions. :)

Everybody is mentioning the "biaggi" incident at Misano, but if Haga had not allowed JT to pass him in the first race at vallelunga, all tis talk would be moot. The difference between third and fourth is 4 points and Haga lost the championship by two! ;)

If you look at the points though out the year james won the title in the first half of the season, Mr Haga can only blame himself for losing the title,as who made him cash in the 1st race at brands to finish 8th, also 8th in the first race at donnington, dnf in holland, bruno overtaken by fabrizao to finish 4th points lost again, as for biaggi he lost by 17 points, his crash at misano is a real loss of points , 8th at velancia 6th at silverstone, the highsde at monza when second place was his, so i think its fair to say everyone lost points though the year, as for me i fear biaagi has shot himself in the head as i think he will have no ride for being to greedy does he ever learn..

I really hope that Haga can go one better next year and that he doesn't end up being the best WSB rider never to win the title.

Well i'm back after my first bike trip abroad...1,034 miles and it was worth it. I'm gutted for Nori but both he an JT had their issues through the season so i'm not going down the route of picking out a particular incident. Nori and the team did all that could be expected of them in the last two races...to lose by two points though was hard. Fingers crossed for next year though...i believe he and the team can do it
A real downer on the weekend was the news that Norick Abe died, i was sitting at Nori's motorhome when i heard the news...everyone was totally gutted by the news and ultimately life is way more important than any title. RIP Norick :(
