If turns out Corser does end up at BMW then it will be yet another waste of a year out of his career "developing" a bike.
Firstly he wasted time on the Aprilia and then must have taken a good pay packet to ride that piece of **** Petronas FP1.
Dont do it Troy, you probably have one more season in you, dont waste it "developing" yet another new bike.
I wonder what he could have achieved in those seasons on 2nd rate machinery

There is no-one better at developing machinery than Corser (Aprillia, FP1), other than perhaps the late great Stevie Hislop, so I think BMW would be mad not to snap him up, but I have a feeling they may go for Alex Hoffmann

Isn't Hoffmann probably going to race for Aprilla if he's developing their bike? Depends how much BMW want a German rider, but given there aren't a massive amount of them (good ones anyway) I think they'd probably opt for experience in the short-term. Maybe BMW will do somethiing like Supersport in the future to breed new talent...

Alan i think it's a done deal, Xaus and Corser seemed very chatty after superpole almost as if they know they're to be teammates. It is a pairing that would make sence with Xaus and his 'win or crash' attitude makiing sure the bike is pushed to its limits and Corser with his smooth style and excellent development skills and a rider with a bit more consistency for top results. It should be good.

Yes the ideal pair to have. Corser to develop the bike and make it competative and Xaus the crash test dummy to see how quickly they can repair the bikes.
Perfect!

I agree, if anyone can hit the ground running, it'll be BMW and their deep pockets.

agreed 100% Chu

& Gaz, what more does Corser have to prove? He's won world championships, got superpole on just about anything he's ever ridden.
BMW will give him good kit from day one & support him for as long as he wants to race probably. & the pay packet will be huge - very important for a rider getting near the end of a career.

The next question is who on the 2nd Yamaha to replace him. If Colin stays in MotoGP, pickings are slim. Would / could they take Pitt back?
