I don't think anyone can argue that the way this is being portrayed does not look good for Walker. But the bike Walker is on is complete ****. His Team mate a proven 600 winner is being trashed by the Stalker but they are both just making up the numbers as back markers…

Hell of gamble he is taking 3 race weekends to turn his career around, on a not so great bike with a proven experienced team mate.

Lavilla has always been a backmarker at WSB level. His successes in BSB have been a complete surprise for me. Remember when Troy Corser first climbed on a 2003 Gixxer, back in autumn 2004, he blitzed Greg's laptimes on the same bike by more than one second, in spite of being riding on the Crapellis whereas Lavilla's times were set on actual race tires.

So Walker has I believe good chances to outperform Lavilla, which is probably what Paul Bird expects as he is necessarily deceived by his WSB campaign up to now.

And yes, Hodgson will stay in AMA as long as he can...

Oh and yes, very good idea to demote Westy in the GIL WSS team: he is just losing confidence in MotoGP race after race, it's hopeless... and very sad as he is a good guy.

It's obvious that without the hard working Randy de Puniet and his experienced crew chief, departed from Kawasaki to LCR, Westy can no longer get his settings from anyone and gets lost : and it's not Hopper that could help in this area, so the Kwacka's development is just stalled whereas all competitors are moving forward...

Westy would be wise to leave this sinking ship and get back where he belongs, WSS. And who would replace him at Kawasaki ? I would try Roger-Lee Hayden if I were Kawasaki...

There was a lot of difference between the bikes that Lavilla and Corser rode. 1,Lavillis bike had air restricters, Corsers did not.
2, the bikes were diffrent models of GSXR.

Lavilla was also a podium finisher on a private bike in WSB and finished in the top 5 when riding the factory suzuki.

No Mike : the Gixxer Corser tested immediately after the last race of 2004 was the 2003 bike that Lavilla had been racing on, just with Crapelli tires. Afterwards the team got the 2005 Gixxer on which Corser went on to clinch the title, but initially it was the very 2003 bike kept by the team. It might even have been Iannuzzo's semi-private bike, I'm not so sure now.
