Gaz, get a life and a sense of humour :p

Personally, I'd like to see Biaggi get the ride, purely because he's a nutter and great entertainment value. For me, he's one of those riders who is brilliant to watch, whether you like him or not. Vermuelen is doing well in motogp, it would be a waste of his talents to go back to wsbk. Shakey, I just don't rate him that highly even though he's doing well this season. He clearly likes the duke though, so who knows.

Finally, I must say that it will be a sad day when Mr Bayliss steps off his bike for the final time. What a class act he is - a great rider, a great racer, a great champion and a great bloke. He could teach Mr Stoner a few things.

OK I dont want Max in the Works team in S/Bikes its a waste of his talent.Lets face it the MOTO GP Bikes are like super 250s and who has the style to make them glide.
Also if Marco has to go then Max for the seat again he has shown that he can handle a Superbike. Most of the GP bikes are handling like 250s Honda and the like.
But the Ducati seems to be more like a S/Bike so Max go back to Moto GP.Lets end the story with a Premier Tital

Gaz , you are right , when he's on it he's brilliant , let's hope if he gets the ride he has mostly good weekends , i'd like to see him win a big class championship before he retires.
Then i'd like to see Shakey get a chance too.....

I don't see Vermulan on the Duke as I have never seen him on a twin, Ducati need a rider who can hold his own from the off whilst the latest in a long line of "golden boys" get up to speed and start winning races. I think the longer term will be for an Italian to win WSBK on the Ducati but that did not work in MotoGP did it now....

I had picked CV to join Ducati MotoGP team for 2009 after they axed Melandri. This WSBK tag has come out of left field IMO!! Doesn't look like Minute Man has been given the bullet yet either. I'm not doing too well here!! Canepa didn't race well: Byrnes would be strong, and no fairy tale endings for Max I think. What about Smrz on the Xerox bike?? Races well on a private bike. Certainly has the speed as demonstrated manytimes in pre superpole qualifying. Anyone rate him??

It is OK Steve, just me taking it too personally mate.

Just a bit sick of all the Rossi fans slagging off Gibernau, Biaggi, Hayden and now Stoner just because they gave/give Vale something to think about.

Would love to see Rossi lose the title for a 3rd year running just to shut the fekkers up! :D

With regards to Smrz, great in practice but pap in the races......he has not come close to a podium and does not have the experience in my opinion. Promotion to the Sterilgarda team definately if Max goes to Xerox.

According to Max's website, he is saying that he will definately be in WSBK next season and hopefully on a factory bike.

Lets wait and see. To be honest I ain't that bothered if Max does not get the factory ride as I am just happy to be able to see him out there riding, whatever bike he is on.

Fair assessment of Jacob Smrz - in another story Tardozzi thinks the same. Let me introduce a wildcard idea as the Bayliss replacement .... Andrew Pitt. Pitt has already won a WSS chamionship, has motogp experience albeit on two dogs of bikes in Kawasaki and Ilmor, is leading current WSS championship, can win close races, keeps the Ducati / Aussie realationship alive. He is one of very many guys who genuinely deserves a break having been shafted by Ilmor first then Yamaha in WSBK, who gave him no notice of dropping him. Nice guy too!!

Hhhmm, Pitty.......maybe but not on Tardozzi's shortlist. Andrew was on Haga's pace with Yamaha in WSBK a few years back so why not. Deserves a break I guess.

....Badovini to a Ducati team next year?

Being the huge Colin Edwards fan that I am I was hoping that he would take this ride in WSBK. There was rumors floating around about Ducati wanting him to replace Troy at the beginning of the year. I'd much rather see him fighting for the WSBK title again instead of being a teat mule for Michelin and Yamaha. But you can't fault a guy for wanting to stay in GPs on a pretty decent bike. Maybe one more year in GP and back to WSBK?
