Congrats to Sykes. I hope he is paired with Corser. If so I wonder who BMW will go for - my guess is that Pitt could get the job.

I guess Biaggi will be on Steilgarda again - maybe with Shane byrne, Greg Lavilla or Laconi.

I hope GSE make the switch to WSB although that would make an awful lot of Ducks on the grid - Xerox, Sterilgarda, Guandalini, Boulder, RG, GSE =12.

Nice one Tom, you deserve your chance, and on the world stage, TOP MAN. I reckon JR at rizla suzuki has been a big influence in explaining how a super smooth riding style can reward a talented and up and coming star like Tom. Good on ya mate, and good luck buddy we are all behind you !! (probably because you are so fast) :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Great news for Tom and I'm pretty sure Jamie Whitham played a part in him getting this ride. As for Crutchlow replacing Sofuoglu, it won't happen as Rea will move into that seat next year with Sofu probably going back to the Ten Kate SS ride. Cal does need to move up soon, but perhaps clinching the BSB title next year with HM would not be the worst thing that could happen to him.

Ten Kate have said they can't wait to get Rea on the superbike...... No point in him staying on supersport for another season, he knows the tracks now and is already a proven superbike rider......
P.S (back on topic!) Go Sykes! :)

Part of Jonny Rea's contract was one year is SuperSport and the following year a guaranteed ride on the Superbike.
Well happy for Tom though. I think he'll do well on the bike. As for being a tart, doesn't hurt most women. Why would racing bikes be any different???

I think I'm gonna get screwed for that comment.

Put Ellison on the HM Plant Honda with Cal and watch them go take BSB 2009. I think then they would both get the top WSBK rides they deserve in 2010 :)

Oh yeah! Almost makes up for the loss of Bayliss. Loved watching Sykes at Brands and Donington, Britain's got talent all right. My hopes:
-Corser stays at Yam Italia and makes it rideable for him and sykes
-Pitt to Aprilia
-Rea to Ten Kate
-Biaggi stays at Sterilgarda (The Black Biaggi, can't get any better!)
-Fabrizio learns how to start a race properly. He's had a while to learn from the best after all.
-Kiyo keeps riding like he has been the last 2 rounds!

Bring it on!

I think winning BSB in 2009 would have been the preferred option - but if a great offer comes along - grab it !

So are there 2 free seats at Rizla Suzuki next year ? I'm not keen on having Japanese factory riders making up the numbers when they dont come up to scratch and whatsisface has been a disappointment
