Jeff says "it should have a few exciting races and reignite WSBK as it was getting a little old and dull"
I say,are you having a fecking joke or what lol? Do you watch WSB on a regular basis? If you did (and i'm not having a go even if it sounds like i am) then your opinion might be somewhat different. Did you watch the last round with Nori racing Biaggi and then racing Troy Bayliss in the next race. How about the Monza races? 0.058 was the margin in the first race and 0.009 was the margin in the 2nd. There 30 or more bikes on the grid depending on wild cards, not to mention how may there will be next year. IMHO WSB is where it is at entertainment-wise, can't wait till next year..even better

Foo Atari,

yup, dead right mate. Mladin turned up at PI and smoked the WSB regulars, then went home. Sure did.

Mind you, he was on Dunlops, everyone else on Pirelli's, so not really a valid comparison is it?

As for Spies, bring him on: he needs to expand his world (like most Americans) and I hope he goes well.

Tech3 have got themselves in a pickle - act in haste repent in leisure when resigning their riders. Think Spies should go for WSBK in 2009 with a view to aim for Motogp in 2010

Anybody else get the feeling that if he makes on to the biggest banging R1 and does rather well, tech3 will be waiting 2010 :?

Not sure if Colin would be up for swapping just yet with the one tyre rule coming in, unfinished business there, he still wants that win, mind you yam pay his wages so who knows.

Just seems to me yam's personnel department have got a little more insight than others.

CE is never gonna win a motogp race now , the level has gone up 3 steps since his best season... and his development skills won't be as vital on single tyre rule..he should move on and give spies a shot..
On Mladin, it's hard to look positive at his staying in what up until Spies was a laughable series, he had the best bike by miles and just rode around at the front...I reckon that riders who have the chance don't take it and then reckon they were fast enough..well draw your own conclusions...

Carbon - The bikes will have to be developed next year to suit the tyres.

Mark B - Mladin wasn't using a Dunlop Superbike tyre when he set his fast time at PI - it was a Dunlop MotoGP tyre so no comparison with a WSB spec Pirelli used by Corser.

Good luck to Spies and Yamaha - I am sure Ben and Colin will swap seats in 2010 and Suzuki will realise what a mistake they made although I think Vermin should have taken the Xerox ride that he was offerred for much bigger money - Spies would then be at Suzuki and Haga would have stayed at Yamaha.

This has to be the best silly season I've witnessed.

Moto GP is still the number one series and Rossi will remain the number one rider till he retires, however unless you have a top bike and team you will always be an also ran in both moto gp and WSB, WSB needs younger riders like Sykes and Spies can only be good, I just want to see Yamaha win WSB, also I would love to see Ant West get a good ride as Kawasaki at all levels of racing are just a joke, Hopkins rides the wheels off the thing but will Melandri? I dont think so, I think he will finish at the tail of the field next year! I am also a fan of Kawasaki road bikes but the racing side is a disgrace!

Spies IS Tom Sykes teammate at Yamaha CONFIRMED.
MotoGP might be the pinnacle but if you want the best races with a better depth of field WSB is No1 :-o

This is just great!! I have watched Spies over the last few seasons ride like an absolute demon in AMA and I really think he will be a winner. For sure the field gets deeper, but Spies is no token American. With a good bike watch out. Next season is going to be awesome with all the guys coming from SS and BSBs. Lots of young guys looking to impress and the old guard trying to show why they are there.
