Pretty impressive run by Spies. I think Suzuki missed an oppertunity not bringing him into MotoGP next year. No disrespect to Caparossi but he isn''t getting any younger, or perhaps they could have run a third bike.

Agrre with FooAtari - cant believe Suzuki missed the opportunity, I would have sprung the cash for a third bike, they must now feel like fools especially as they will have a spare now there is a single tyre rule. Maybe Szuki just want to fight it out with Kawasaki for the worst manufacturer in racing.

WSB will be great next year, it could only have had more anticipation if Bayliss stayed on!

Agreed Suzuki missed out on Spies. They could have at least sent him to Alstare and prep him for Suzuki MotoGP 2010. I am sure Batta would have loved to have him over Neito.

Denning screwed the pooch on this one.

btw:

Hodgson is signed with American Honda through 2009. So he will be racing American Superbike in AMA.

Ducman - Batta wanted Spies and made that known, but unfortunately for him it didn't happen.

Anyone know how Xaus and Corser are getting on with their BMW's in Valencia?

Ben Spies to Tech-3 Yamaha MotoGP in 2010 then it seems....IF....he wins the championship.

This must be the plan, he's stepped down - to step up

I think Spies will graduate to the Tech 3 team next year with Edwards going in the other direction . I believe that Yamaha have already asked Edwards if he could move over to WSBK this year already giving Spies the Tech 3 seat and he said "no".

I very much doubt Spies has stepped down - AMA isnt anything like the WSBK paddock, and he never had a MotoGP ride to step down from.
