Kagayama won the Suzuka 8 hour which gives him a Suzuki ride for the rest of his career plus he is vital to the development of the bike.

Fonsi was outperformed by Neukirchner who had a novice crew and a lower spec bike - so not a difficult decision to make. Hopefully Neukirchnrt will now have more experienced technicians and will therefore be less hit and miss with his bike setup.

I've just read somewhere there were some problems with the payment of Fonsis Sponsors. It was not my intention to spread wrong facts.

Guys... this is an extraordinary possibility to get some extra information from Mrs. Batta and some of you do such a ****.

Maybe the site isn't updated because Fonsi has got a contract until december 31st. But that too obvious for some people. :p

Just goes to show what happens when people make statements with out knowing the facts! rather like all those who blame Dani for Hayden loosing his ride with Repsol!
Thanks for the info Patrica and Norman I think you got it 100% correct! :)

LOVE YOU TOO ....as you're my husband HAHAHAHAHA :) :) :)
The website will shortly be changed.
But FONSI himself was and is looking around since Vallelunga ( he had different meetings with teams in SBK / GP and still on )....

I loved watching Fonsi ride. He was an exciting rider who had an aggressive style which meant sometimes he won and sometimes he fell. All three 2008 Alstare riders had their positives and negatives but remember Fonsi did finish in 6th place, just one behind Max and 5 in front of Yukio. In a field of more than 30 riders, that's pretty amn good going. I think his style would have suited the K9 much more which has been designed to allow more power to be put down, safer. I think they should have given him one more season in my opinion. I know Yukio is their son, but at the end of the day, winning or coming close to winning is the objective of all teams involved. Fonsi would have won more in 09

Im not telling you at all that FONSI isn't a good rider, but when you have to decide who will be on the official bike, seeing the results, you would have also choosen MAX NEUKIRCHNER as official suzuki rider. FONSI had a good season but with too many up and downs, not due to his riding style but had severall personal problems.
And as YUKIO stay with us....with have no other factory bike available.
We could get him on factory for another season, seeing that MAX with our suzuki alstare finished in front of him and doing all his best during the season.
He could have been higher in the WCHAMP table, but at VALENCIA he got ZERO point
Addit him Victory in race one and second or third place

I understand patricia that in these economicly difficult times that having 3 riders for 09 was not viable. I am just saying that it was big shame that Fonsi couldn't of had another season to prove his value. I also know that having as winner and a second or third place runner-up would have generated many more Suzuki GSXR sales in the showroom and I think Alstare would have had a better chance of that with Fonsi onboard. I am happy that Yukio and Max are still there, I like and respect them both very much, I am just sad that Fonis isn't there too. I know that just wasn't possible for Alstare, but I am still sad that wasn't possible!

Hiring a talented rider and a Japanese rider is always a disappointing way for a team to operate. Kaga's continual crashing (I think he's missed races through injury in 6 successive seasons, and always single-bike rider-error issues) makes him a poor choice unless his sponsors are paying for all the damage. I'd totally agree that Max N was the best available rider, but Fonsi has been unfortunate to lose out.
