A race win with a semi-works Honda against the 15 factory bike? Ok, last year Lanzi and Xaus could do it, but they ride a Ducati. I think Hopper should be happy if he get some podium finishes.

It will be exciting to see how he fares, John has raced a great variety of machinery, incuding mean 500 twostrokes and 990 and 800 MotoGP bikes, I don't think he will have peoblems handling the Honda but will it be competitive enough?
Also there will be some new tracks to learn for him.

This will be a good measure of whether Hopper is the real deal or just over-hyped. It's difficult to fairly appraise a riders ability when he has been riding inferior machinery most of his career against the best riders on the planet. The Stiggy Honda is a competitive package, everyone has the same tyres, hence, once he settles into WSBK, there can be no more excuses for poor results. This season should answer many questions about the true ability of Hopper. :?

Hopkins is the only rider in the world who could give Rossi a good fight if only he had th same machinery. That steely fire burns deep in him - we can all see it.

He will win the WSBK title this year - i reckon he planned it all to give the overrated Spies and Haga a head start just to show his true class.

The Jenson Button of bike racing - one smooth operator.

Great to see Hopkins get away from Kawasaki, and get a ride with a good upcoming team. The Monster sponsor bucks will help. Along with the various mchinery he has ridden in MotoGP, he also was the AMA
FOrmula Extreme Champion when the class ran litre SuperBikes in 2000 so he isn't a complete stranger to proddy based bikes. Wins are a lofty goal but it shows he's a racer. SBK will be the richer with Hopper on the Grid!

Funny/Ironic,this may be the best thing to happen to Hopkins since he left Suzuki?I suggest that we as a group let him roll the wheels a couple of race weekends before commenting too much?I really think he will do well on that private Honda. If it has enough speed,he will deal with it.Look what he came off of,an unmanageable motorized canon!G.F.

Good luck Mr. Hopkins, another racer that grounds elbows in Curves. Well CBR is an agile and promising bike. well see how it goes by then.
