Well I don't(agree).

Marco's a good rider (or was on the 990s)but not especially noted for his bike development skills in the way that, say, Corser or Rossi are.

Broc Parkes seems to be doing a pretty workmanlike job. I don't know if that's down to development work he's achieving or an ability he has to ride-around the Kawasaki's problems.

I would doubt Marco would be keen to get on the ZX10 in WSBK at present tho ... He'd be in the same position as Hopper (significantly different bike to learn) compounded by being on a less competitive machine. Plus he won't want the skill-confusion of transfering adjustments from the WSB bike to his Moto GP ride.

In short, aint gonna happen guys.

WSBK » Parkes aiming to exploit new parts, Tamada target

Broc Parkes is hoping that new parts for his factory-backed Kawasaki will allow a repeat performance this weekend at Assen.

think that Marco Melandri involved in ZX-10R development/adjusting just for a moment as helper would bring new quality to this project and take Kawasaki to a new level of performance.

but who knows may be his riding skills or style may click zx-10r. wht if he wins on it then everybody will say dat go marco go for wsbk! whts the harm in trying! if he is dat gud of a rider then he won't be confused in readjusting his riding style after switching bikes for a race or two.

Why in the world would Melandri be good at developing the ZX10? HE'S NEVER RACED A SUPERBIKE! So what makes you guys think he would be a good development rider for the ZX? Why would he even want to? After watching Laconi get tossed down the road the last couple of years, I don't see why any established rider would want a go on that thing!

Props to Parkes for his work and props to Kawa for their support, now all they need to do is to go after young talents like the other factories have. Larcorz would be a good addition to the SBK ranks but maybe Kawa wants him to prove himself in SS first.

Tamada better pick it up, or a fellow named Jamie Hacking is going to have is seat. Jamie wants to race a superbike, and with the endorsment of Spies saying he could run at the front. How many more 0 point weekends will Kawasaki put up with? 2010 Hacking will be in WSBK, its already in the works.
