1 Crash and someone is calling out the "haga isn't a crasher" brigade? That's pathetic, Haga is irratic but you can't call him a crasher. Ben Spies has always been consistant in AMA yet has crashed twice so far.

I hope this doesnt become a USA fans vs the rest type barrier as Ben Spies is a very talented rider but he has only repeated what other riders have done, hes above no one yet.

Haga's full time debut season in wsbk won maybe the first 3 races I believe, Ben spies is comparable, not the best the worlds ever seen.

And that Yamaha is the best bike to be on in my eyes, Sykes isn't far behind on pace and come mid season i believe he'll be fighting for wins.

It performs in BSB too also.

Well done Ben, an outstanding victory.

This bloke should be on a factory moto gp bike, (i know they don't allow rookies on factory bikes) but i think he's earned it with or without the wsb title.

Haga must have had some problem, to drop back like he did on the first lap, after leading the first couple of corners!

Although i guess he was pushing to catch up and thats why he crashed?

Well done ben, dominance like nori in 2007!

Bring on kyalami

Good onya Ben show em how its done riding the superior Yamaha....R1 and Ben are untouchable...guaranteed hell have the title at the end too good for Haga and the Yamaha is infintely a better race bike than the Duck.

First - Nice victory for The Ben, but I'm a bit disappointed with the coverage of the race...How can you not find Haga for a whole lap?? then when the bloke tries to make up time(what ever was wrong in the first place) he crashes and they only manage to show a glimpse of the flying bike? Point the cameras at the track not the crowd...

Lets face it: Spies is the fastest guy out there and its not even close.

Haga may win the title, but Spies has clearly demonstrated that he's a much faster rider and i would suggest a better rider as well given his ability to dominate on tracks he's never seen before.

Spies needs to stop playing in the B leagues and go run with the big boys in MotoGP. My guess is he's already at the Stoner/Pedro/Lorenzo level.

I don't remember there being a "Haga doesn't crash crowed"

he used to crash, but had a problem with the bike today. many of his crashes in recent years have been through mechanical problems, not mistakes.

Regarding MOTOGP break, It seems that Yamaha were in no hurry for Lorenzos contract and this opens the door for Spies to have a factory Yamaha. If Spies Enters Tech3 next year, so Lorenzos contract expires after 2010, so Spies might replace him in 2011. I am hoping that this oppurtunity will be for Spies next year in MOTOGP.

Once again Congratulations Spies, I cant wait to see him in YZR-M1 bike. My apology WSBK fans for promoting him for MOTOGP.
