The ****ers in the UK wont have too much to Flap their Lips about after this past weekends Domination at Donnington by Ben Spies on the Yamaha...Spies came on Conquered England, onto the next race in Brno.
Kevin Schwantz said it best during a Race in Italy where the commentator stated,is Ben Spies as good as # 34 ? Schwantz reply,"He could be even better".
He is Motivated and his Learning Curve is Amazing.
On a Fitness level,no one is more Fit than Ben, Consistent and Smart.....

Anyone that has watched Spies in AMA is not surprised at his performance in WSBK. He came from Suzuki's most important factory program.

Dear Big Ben,

I will be serving up Cowboy cuts of ribeye steak this coming weekend to celebrate Independance Day from merry old England. You are welcome at my campfire any time!

Way to go @Donington!! Go Texas!!!

Since KTMKen brought up July 4th -Independence Day in the US- it occurs to me if the Redcoats had not shot down those guys at the Concord Bridge, then The Ben would be a Brit and twice as many readers here would be happy. To quote Emerson-
"By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot 'heard round the world.'
...and robbed GB of a crackin WSBK pilot."

Spies is awesome the best thing thats happened to Yamaha in wsbk...but he will do nothing in Motogp not in rossis or lorenzos league ...cardinal rule never hire wsbk riders for motogp ...the whole scene and level is just so diffrent from wsbk and unless youve grown up racing the gp circuits you will offer nothing.....butista tommorrow would spank Spies in Motogp guaranteed.

A championship win or even second, you can't say he doesn't deserve it. Either way, I hope he goes to Tech3 next year. He has the potential to make WSBK boring and I'm totally confident that he could be a regular in the top 4 of the 'big league'. Just an opinion but you'd have to be a goose not to see this guys potential. I just hope he doesn't cop flack from a certain group of fans because he may appear to be a little too honest or even 'boring'.
Stupid, stupid suzuki!

He'll be fine provided he doesn't beat you know who.

If he does that he'll get it in the neck no matter what he does or says!

Bob.....hahahahaha,you make me laugh,Spies in the top 4 in moto gp?,,oh come on mate, thats ridiculous. How on earth did you come to that conclusion. For example, when Spies came to motogp,he just scrambled into the top10 of a factory Suzuki for his first race.Rossi,on a Honda superbike,in his first race in the Suzuka 8 hours, 1.5 seconds a lap quicker than Edwards.Spies would have no chance against the motogp boys,Rossi,Lorenzo,Pedrosa,Stoner,Dovi.Thats just for starters.

oh and Bob,,,didnt Simoncelli on the Aprillia superbike go way faster than Spies at Valencia at a test at the end of last season and simoncelli is only the 250cc world champion and spies couldnt even compete with him,so a top4 in moto gp,,i dont think so.Maybe when rossi, pedrosa, stoner, lorenzo and dovi all retire,,then maybe he would have a chance of top4 in motogp

Well bonehead, he would have only had to finish the last race to have beat Dovi wouldn't he! Tests are completely subjective with weather being a big grogan in the pudding. Apples and oranges slimon!

@ Simon - go back under your bridge. Making statements like that places you under the ignorant light, not an oracle's.

But just because I like to feed trolls - yeah, Pedrosa did great again this weekend! Good observation.
