Losing pts due to bike failure. It's always frustrating for the racers.

This is an unfortunate aspect that all racers have to contend with.

25 pts at this stage of the season is big.
Cal will just have keep up the good work and get those pts back.

Also unfortunate for Cal, should he lose the championship by less than 25pts, the Title Trophy with Laverty's name on it, won't have little asterisk that provides the history and reads 'thxs given to Yamaha for the bike failure at Brno'.

That's how it goes...Neither a very good rider alone can win, nor a very good machine. Both have to be very good for championship glory.

I'd love to agree with you Mark, but I can't see Cal screwing up so many times before the end of the season, unfortunately.

Still, I think if they both get a decent ride in Moto2 next season, Cal and Norge will be at it like cat and dog again!

I think Cal and Laverty are both amazing on their day, my money would be on the Yamaha rather than the Honda this year..

During the race Whitham commented on just how hard Cal was banging the bike down through the gearbox braking into corners. I know that's very much the modern style with slipper clutches to take the strain but maybe he was just a bit too brutal?????

However if that's what the problem was I'm sure the team will know and he'll be instructed accordingly for next race. You can't control your own luck totally but sometimes you can definately influence it a bit!
