JT will be a very lucky man if he keeps his seat even through he not at gp level.

cool this is finally over with. but if its Tech3 why didn't they say Tech3 instead of "a yamaha satellite team"? Are they creating a "sattelite" team especially for him? to get around the stupid rookie rule?

OK, my guess, all partisanship aside, is that Edwards will stay at Tech-3 in 2010 (given the strong american/Monster sponsorship) and then be swapped for Spies in 11. Just following the money-trail, along with what makes sense, rider wise. Not sure about JT either way. Seems a good guy, but not doing well. But, just as Monster make at least one american on the team likely, dorna and brit-fan interest raises JT's chances a bit. I hope he stays, or at least finds a really good ride elsewhere. Other riders offering services for free makes that tough though. What do others, brit and yank alike, think?

Best for everyone. We get him back for another year, then get to look forward to an interesting 2011 in GP.

I don't think JT should keep his seat even though Spies is staying in SBK. One race doesn't erase all the others. it's like those guys who only ride well at the end of year when contracts are on the table.

JT has had the chance to show what he can do and he hasn't done it. Read an interview with Tech 3 yesterday and they seem to be tired of his "excuses" for lack of a better word. Their qoutes were he asked for a new crew cheif and got it. Bridgestone tires and got that. Wanted things done a specific way. got that also. So why are the results not there?

After two yrs it's time to give someone else a shot at it

Hopefully Rossi is still there in 2011 for Bens sake. I think win or lose Ben would be dissapointed if he doesn't get to compete for a year against the "doctor".

I HAVE SEEN HIM RIDING IN SUPER BIKE RACING AND I KNOW HE IS A GOOD RIDER BUT SURELY HE CAN NOT MAKE A CAREER LIKE STONER OR OTHERS(NOT #46,HE IS BEST) BECAUSE ALL THE RIDERS KNOW THAT IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO WIN A MOTOGP RACE THAN A WSBK CHAMPIONSHIP.

For someone like Spies to be considered a rookie and not get a factory ride is bullshit. Dumb ass rookie rule. . .
