Both Cal and Eugene have been highly impressive this season in WSS in dominating a typically close series, I predict that we will see another good display from the two of them this weekend. If a few others can get in one the double act to make it a close race all the better, but I'll be cheering on Cal and Eugene! :)

WSBK » WSS: Yamaha eye early Crutchlow title

With Cal Crutchlow now sitting 22 points clear of nearest rival Eugene Laverty, the Yamaha World Supersport team is starting to think not only of winning the title - but of winning it with one round to go.

I like Crutchlow and he will be a worthy champion....but hoping Laverty gives him a good fight at Imola to keep it open for a bit longer.

The question now isn't if he will win the title it is now where is Cal going to wind up next year. I suspect that once Spies' deal is settled a lot of other pieces will fall into place. As I have said before I honestly think Cal should get Spies spot in WSBK as team leader if Ben goes to MotoGP. If Spies stays put all bets are off. I honestly don't see Cal wanting to be Teammate playing second fiddle to Spies though. In that situation I personally think he would go to Moto2. He has openly stated he wanted to go to Moto2. In my gut I think Spies moves on and Cal moves up though!

El Big - MCN was reporting yesterday that Spies will take Toselands seat in Tech 3 regardless of whether he wins WSB or not. Spies seat will most likely be taken by Toseland with Vermeulen te next choice.

I hope Crutchlow isn't tempted to take the WSB Yamaha ride as I would like to see him in Moto2 - if he has ambitions to do MotoGP that is his best route. Besides toseland and vermeulen are both good enough to take the title on that bike - especially as they will have the benefit of Spies data from this season and probably none of the reliability problems without which he would have been crowned long ago.

If Crutchlow goes to Moto2 I guess Sykes will keep his seat although I would ...
