To the pathetic little c**t that just posted the last comment :-

Do you really think people are that stupid to believe Nitro Nori would post a comment like that about Shakey after all he's written on here about him over the last couple of seasons ? You might not agree with everything he's said, and to be honest I don't agree with 100% of it either (most of it but not all), and I'm not a particularly huge Byrne fan (although I don't dislike him either) and can see where he's been short-changed this season in terms of machinery.

But at least have the balls to post under your own name for Christ's sake.

And what makes Shakey a 'muppet' exactly ? Grow up for f**k sake or s0d off...

I think he did a damn good job given the equipment he has at his disposal.

Of course he did a damn good job. To have held Spies and Rea off the way he did was superb even though they got past him in the end. I've been saying it all year but give him equal machinery (like he had at the 2008 Portimao test) and he'll mix it with them all day long. Roll on 2010...

I think it's the first time he's seen them this year :). They've just been upgraded, apparently, so should be a bit quicker, he should still have done a lot better this year look at Haslam, has comprehensively outrode him all season..

Well maybe Haslam's squad actually had a pot to p1ss in for the bulk of the season and therefore the bike got some development. Shakey's squad had dropped Polita even before the season started, then lost Sterilgarda to Yamaha. Stiggy were running two men in WSBK for most of the season i.e. Rolfo, Zemke, Hopkins etc... Plus we all know what Ducati are like about protecting their beloved Xerox riders by making sure nobody else can have what they have, whereas there isn't actually a full-factory Honda squad (closest thing to that is Ten-Kate) so every chance Stigefelt has been able to get hold of upgrades throughout the season. Didn't Haslams bikes get new engines quite early on in the season ?

Off to take the factory Kawasaki ride of Tamada next year, isnt he?

He'll do better on it than him (he could hardly do any worse)

The Kawasaki move was mentioned on GPOne.com's website a few weeks ago. Could be a good thing as Kawasaki are reputedly going to throw the kitchen sink at WSBK again with no involvement in MotoGP next year. Olivier Jacque is also rumoured to be the dedicated WSBK development rider for Kawasaki and Paul Bird Motorsport in 2010. Stewart Easton is moving from BSB to PBM in World Supersport so it seems like Birdy is maybe trying to surround himself with proven championship winning material for 2010 in the form of Shakey and Easton. It has also been rumoured that he's after Haslam as the parter to Shakey - an all British affair don't you know... No reason why Kwaka can't be up there in 2010 !!!
