This man should be awarded for his determination, strenght and unforseen apetite for riding. he defeated his own death, came back from the end of the road, so welcome back Regis!

Great to have him back. Nothing short of amazing how in 5months he's gone from coma to having the guts to get back on a bike. I doubt he will be just cruising around waving to the fans! Hope he gets a damn good ride nxt year...deserves it.

When Regis and Olivier Jacque were chosen by the French federation as its officially supported riders, back in 1993, I was more a Jacque fan: more educated, more clever. The difference in intelligence probably explains why OJ was a 250cc world champ while RL failed to achieve that feat, handing a WSB title that seemed all his to his teammate Toseland.

However, with time passing, and while OJ was kind of losing his speed and falling into a comfort zone, Regis kept on charging hard whatever machine he got beneath him, and he earned my respect.

I hope he quits racing next year and enjoys a long a happy retirement. Thanks for the excitement you brought to any series you were entered in Regis!
