WSBK » WSS: Lascorz win forces Crutchlow to wait

With Crutchlow off to WSBK next year it obviously looks like Laverty and LaScorz will be the two title protagonists next season. Cal only needs to finish Tenth at Portimao. Is it in him to stay back and ride safe?

Excellent, measured performance by Crutchlow on track...

...followed by an equally ungracious, undiplomatic and mean-spirited post-race interview.

Cal, it's not necessary to remind everybody you would have won the championship already barring mechanicals. Nor would it be amiss for you to congratulate first-time race winner Lascorz - even if you believed you would have beaten him had the race run to its full length.

I've been very impressed with the way Crutchlow has gone about his business on track this year. But interviews like that will win him no friends at all. He should take a leaf from Spies' book and learn to both win and lose with a little grace and humility.
