I dont think its such an insane move... Ive been told by several people in the know that Kawasaki have trebled their budget with PBM for next season and that the 2011 bike will be the absolute nuts... a proper weapon...
Chris isnt daft, neither is Birdy...

LOL

Chris, why do you always choose a path that will destroy your career?

I don't think he realizes that "big resources" from Kawasaki is still small compared to Yamaha/Ducati/Honda.

If Chris gets top 5 finishes I'll eat my bike !!! LOL.
I think he is a good rider, especialy in the wet but lets look at the facts. The Kawasaki is not competitive and there are more than 5 far more competent riders. Kawasaki have been c**p since Yanagowa's day in 750 guise. I wish you good luck Chris but I think you are underestimating...everything. :p

Wow.. is Vermeulen on drugs??
ZX-10 has been the most underachieving and notorious bike on the SBK grid for years.. How's he going to change that?

I really thought Chris would do well in Moto Gp, he had a good 2007 but has totally lost his way this year , Suzuki might not be the best bike on the grid but to me it has seemed like Chris has just gven up half way through this year.

Hope he re discovers his form next year , on a Kawasaki tho mmmmmmmmmm..........

0) which are the other factory seats options for 2010?
1) Chris Vermeulen is smart,
2) Kawasaki cannot keep losing forever,
3) Kawasaki has revamped its 600, and wins WSS races,
4) Kawasaki is focusing on WSB,
5) Paul Bird is a very capable team manager.

Result: I believe Chris has been right and, if he gets results, they will be attributed to his superbike skills, while if the Kwacka keeps sucking, he will have an excuse.

I hope he gets a decent compensation scheme on top of that, so well done Chris!

great news....good luck Chris....SBK is more exciting than motogp anyway and a top ten SBK finish will be more fun than a back of the grid finish in MOTOGP......
As for Kawasaki not having big resources...they as a company could buy Ducati and close it down just for fun if they wanted to...they have won this championship before remember, Yamaha never have....The ZX10 is competitive in AMA....don't see why it wouldn't be in the right hands in WSBK....its an awesome road bike... :)

Oh dear! It seems that he has got too comfortable wandering around the back of the grid on a Suzuki and wants to stay in this "comfort zone" for next year. At his best he has the potential to push the front guys....just hope for the sake of the championship Kwak have some sort of secret weapon. Would be sad to see his career disintegrate this early!
