Haga fell off in the first race and threw away a shed load of points. So Fabrizio taking 10 points off is nothing. Haga should have beaten him fair and square.

Well done fabrizio! Your behaviour cost nori a title. Some time ago hopeless overtake going for a win (5points) and now in second race the same (5 points) = 10 points, haga was 6 short.

Jonny Rea's last lap blunder cost him 4 place in a championship, in favour of Biaggi.

Too bad that Haga had bad luck with a bird whacking his right arm and leading to a crash and injury, then a bad crash at Donington messed up his wrist and shoulder and he wasn't able to give his best for a while, which let Spies eat up Haga's points lead.

No thanks either to Rea that knocked Haga off and his useless teammate Fabrizio for being a selfish git.

You will also notice that when Haga has crashed, he has not been able to remount because the Ducati does not have a starter motor like all the other bikes, so it won't start and no chance to get a few consolation points.

Oh well, congratulations Spies. I never liked to support you in WSB but I will when you are in Motogp.

You are a complete dolt!!! Spies won this despite several mechanical malfunctions, not to mention being run off the track and taken out completetly.

Please do us all a favor and stop watching motor sports.

Fair result in the end, though as a Haga fan of nearly a decade, it hurts. The difference was Haga's poor mid-season run: his points haul from Miller to Nurburgring (10 races without a win) just wasn't championship form. He had every chance after being allowed to run up a massive 88 point lead. I'm pleased Haga will give it another go next season, though suspect it will be his last chance.

Ken: Not to mention running out of fuel on the last lap at Monza too! All these idiots talking about "if Fabrizio did this" and "if Tardozzi made them do that" seem to be missing the point that Nori missed out after Spies crashed at Assen and had technical problems at Kyalami.

If Spies' Dad was leaning to the left when he shot his wad or his Mum had her ankles round her neck, Ben would be a girl... Look in the history books in ten years time, 'Spies, Ben' will still be listed as 2009 WSBK Champ.

Sooooo close Nori!!! I have never wanted a championship for a rider more than this season for Haga. Sick, crash, taken out, Bird crash?, tire problem, the flu, and just barely lost.... this was your best season ever, congrats to an amazing season.

If you really want to play that card look at the points Fabrizio took off Spies and handed to Haga at Brno! I give Fabrizio props for doing it man style and making both Spies and Haga earn it all! Instead of complying with F1 style Team orders and lying down for his team mate! Spies effectively didn't even have a team mate (as far as the title in concerned) this season.
