Great stuff. Give the lad factory kit and he's immediately up at the sharp end. Batta must be flipping cartwheels (love to see that btw) that Leon has gelled with the bike so quickly.

what a season we have to look forward too in 2010, with the teams the way they are there could be up to maybe 8 potential winners, with both dukes, both yams, both suzukis, and both hondas, being riden by riders good enough to win, its going to make motogp very boring, dare i say again.

To be honest I thought a couple of years back he'd reached his peak and was going no where but he really got his $hit together in '08 and especially in '09. He genuinely deserves this chance and you've gotta hope he does the biz next year, shame he supports Man U though!! Other big shame is that Spies isn't there next year because he'd have been in for a much harder time with so many good lads moving onto quality factory kit.....and even Toseland lapping 1 sec faster than him on his first test, very interesting :?

Leon has always had natural talent on a bike, That coupled with advise from his dad "rocket" has matured into a true world class rider who deserves his full factory bike.

If Leon can show the same maturity and skill in 2010 that he showed on the woefully underfunded customer stiggy bike this year he must surely be a title contender

Leon will be 2010 World Champion, he is the class act in my humble opinion, i have followed him since his scooter days and the lad is a winner. I wish he was on the R1 though as it is such a class act. Go Leon !! :)

I thought the teams would be using the k10 whichi will make its appearance at the end of they year? Is this a cosmetic change to the bike or something more fundamental as I have kindo lost track with the GSXRs.

despite strange manoeuvres recently made by Suzuki Racing (riders, developement, titular sponsorship)they have good WSB GSX-R bike and riders lineup for 2010 at least. Thing that it was better decision for Haslam to joinSuzuki than Neukirchner to join Honda...maybe new CBR 1000 will replace current crap model. Honda is 2nd or even 3rd class in factories competition now...
