This pretty well sucks. How is there not a Moto2 team signing this guy. He is clearly very quick as proved this year and has raced all the Moto2 tracks on a 250 (a crap one).
How cool would it be if riders got signed up based only on how fast they were? Crazy idea,I know. What am I thinking?

In defence of the previous comment i remember reading an interview with Eugene and it said about the potential of moving to a Moto2 team and his comments were something along the lines of he hated his time in the Motogp paddock and would only go back if the perfect opportunity should arise.
Nothing againts Eugene but i think there are better riders that should rightly take the top rides on Moto2 machines he would be looking at riding.

Not to worry anyway, Eugene will take the 2010 WSS championship with ease.

I pretty sure he would of had offers from Moto 2 but his time in 250's wasnt the best and he probaly thinks he's got a better chance of being champion in WSS.
I wish Eugene , Cal and even Camier had taken up there Moto 2 offers , the future Moto Gp rides will come from that class and not WSB ( unless you win it in your rookie season ! )

Looking forward to seeing Eugene & Kenan crossing swords in 2010.... To stay with Parkalgar is a sensible move I reckon. Eugene will be in the running for a world championship yet again. During 2009 WSS was very exciting to watch and much more than simply a support class to SBK. Good Luck.

Whiel I understand the scepticism of soem cocnernign this decision, this is probably the best choice he could have made. After suffering on quite frankly s**t bikes for years, he gets soem decent machinery at last and shows his worth. Next year if he can keep the momentum going his value in rider market will go up further.

After being almost on top of the world in WSS I can understand why Eugene would be reluctant to go back to the potential of a nightmare season in Moto2 on underfunded machinery like he endured during his time in 250's. It seems like none of the top WSS runners are prepared to take that gamble so the status quo of Spanish and Italian riders stranglehold on all the good rides in 250's will remain. Trouble is in 12 months the bikes will have been developed to suit those riders which will make it harder for WSS riders to make the move over to Moto2 the following season. Maybe Cal will get a Tech 3 wildcard or two next year? Probably wishfull thinking.

Mr D Bacle - And watch out for Lascorz, as he will be out there for that title too! (And hopefully one or two Yamaha's too) Talkin about Moto2 don't forget that it will be a new series with totally new bikes, with unpredictable title chasers, so IMO he made a sensible move. And he and Crutchlow are British, not Italian or Spanish, which makes the situation a lot heavier. If you are spanish, you are supported by the spanish maffia in GP, if you are italian, you are supported by Aprilia, and nobody needs other nationalities.

Eugene had a superb 2009, he really showed his maturity.
It would have been good to see him on a Moto2 bike, but he has a good, well organised, successful team in Parkalgar.
But why on earth have they re-signed Praia? Eugene fighting for the c/ship, his team-mate hardly on the radar.

'Sensible, best choice, I can understand..' Bull5hit!!
Why would anyone with ambition stay in SS600 over GP2?
It seems to be a typically British attitude to play it safe, stay inside the comfort zone, earn a few quid and hope for a break somewhere else down the line. So what if he wins SS next year, which is debatable, he'll still be up against riders with better CVs, looking for a job in WSBK no doubt. GP2 is THE feeder class to Motogp, new series, new bikes, level playing field etc. There will never be a better time for him to go. No wonder dear ole Bazza is our last premier class winner, almost 30 years ago..

I think its a good choice this way he can fight for wins and championship. To go to moto2 just means you want to get to motogp, maybe he doesnt and wants a top wsb ride and hasnt been offered one this year.
