Ok, I like Laverty too, but WTF has he ever done to make him "easily" faster than Biaggi??

WSBK » Laverty: I thrive on repetition…

“I'm happy to attack the same obstacle a couple hundred times before moving on to another. It is bordering on insanity but hey, we're all not so far away from there” – Eugene Laverty.

There's a very good chance he could be the next world champ. Biaggi's nose will be put out of joint again.

He'll easily be faster than Biaggi. And he earns the success, too.

An Ulsterman beating an Italian in an all-Italian team? Not gonna happen!

If he even comes close to matching Biaggi, I'll be mightily impressed. World Champion 2012 ? Come on guys. You need experience to fight for the title. Maybe in 2013(or 14) when he has more than a full year's experience on the Aprilia. No need to raise the expectation and put him under unnecessary pressure. Eug is a smart lad I think he won't be doing that to himself.

laverty is a class act and will be a title contender after a years experience on a superbike,these young irish guys dont give a dam for reputations biaggis or anyone elses his biggest obstacle to the title will be his neighbour j rea riding round the outside of him on a dodgy honda complete with (electronic sticking plasters),should be fun tho,maxs on track bully tactics will only amuse these guys

@dawg
He already beat Max easily a few times last year on the Yamaha that most of the paddock said was p.o.s and now he is on a bike that he obviously likes and fits him better. He will easily beat Max at least a few times this year as well, and probably give him a strong run for the title.
Max is not the future for Aprilia, they would be wise to give Eugene a fair shake as far as kit goes.

@Dannyboy

Is that your argument? Is that your logic?

Surely you aren't talking about the p.o.s. Yamaha that Melandri finished 2nd in the title on with 4 wins and 15 podiums are we? I guess Laverty had the p.o.s bike not Melandri huh?? If he was "easily" faster then Biaggi maybe he would have matched his teammate in wins and podiums intead of having half of each huh?? I would think if he was "easily" faster than Biaggi than it wouldn't have taken Max being out 5 races to match his points total huh??

By your logic anyone that has ever finished in front of Biaggi in a race is "easily" faster than him. Seriously, Laverty didn't even win WSS when he was suppose to and now his 2 wins and 6 podiums in WSBK makes him "easily" faster than Biaggi? That sounds ridiculous. Let him earn it on the track because he hasn't done it yet.
