Honestly, I think with the points lost for Sykes in circumstances out of his control while Biaggi fell a few times of his own accord, it's difficult to say Biaggi truly deserved the title over Tom. However, he's champion and earned it in the last race but for me Sykes is MVP for 2012. Another honest opinion, he was never going to win the title. He did all he could and won the second race. But even had Giugliano been able to pass Max, Laverty coasted waiting for his team mate, no doubt ready to let him past if needed.

While Marco did all he could for his own chances at least as runner up, I can't stop thinking that, in doing such, he also acted as an arbiter between Max and Tom. Even that was differently made in the two races (quite opposite in fact ) at least no one can accuse him of unpatriotic behaviour, intended or not.
Anyway all the best wishes from me for Max, Tom, Marco and their teams as well for the next season!
