While the World Superbike Championship may be one British round worse off,
Donington Park was still able to provide plenty of thrills and - particularly in the case of the Supersport race – spills.
Having become a Mecca for biking fans in Great Britain, the undulating Derbyshire circuit served up some exciting racing in each race, even if few surprised to see Ben Spies come away as the double winner.
Nonetheless, a podium for Leon Haslam, Cal Crutchlow's Supersport triumph and Noriyuki Haga's potentially significant tumble certainly makes it a weekend worth reliving beyond the American's dominance.
