It was a weekend of mixed emotions for a number of the World Superbike riders at Brno, with happiness (Max Biaggi), anger (Ben Spies) and remorse (Michel Fabrizio) all being exhibited on race day.

In the end, Biaggi was the big winner with a win and a second place, the charismatic Italian sharing his emotional triumph with the Aprilia Racing team, who in turn haven't won at World Superbike level since 2001.

Spies himself as reason to be pleased in the end after reducing Noriyuki Haga's margin overall to seven points, the American once again proving he is a quick learner around unknown circuits.

As ever, the lengthy Czech circuit, with its sweeping bends and crests and troughs, delivered some enjoyable racing, the tree-lined layout providing a blossoming background for our snappers.
