Camier up to speed in warm-up

Ben Spies continued to mark himself out as the man to beat heading into today's World Superbike races at Magny-Cours after topping morning warm-up.

The American, who shattered the lap record to claim pole position by four tenths of a second yesterday, was again a sizeable margin up on his rivals, Spies commanding a five tenth gap over Michel Fabrizio.

Having vowed to sort rear suspension issues during warm-up, Noriyuki Haga remained in touch in third, just ahead of Leon Camier, who made his first top ten appearance on the unfamiliar Aprilia RSV-4 with the fourth best lap.

Fellow Britons Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam shadowed him in fifth and sixth, ahead of Fonsi Nieto, Tom Sykes, Max Biaggi and Karl Muggeridge.

In the Supersport category, it was 'as you were' from qualifying, with Cal Crutchlow, Joan Lascorz, Kenan Sofuoglu and Eugene Laverty holding station in first, second, third and fourth respectively.
