Vote for the top WSBK rider of 2009!

Ben Spies? Noriyuki Haga? Jonathan Rea? Who deserves to be crowned the Crash.net 2009 World Superbike Rider of the Year? It's time to get voting
With seven manufacturers, a bevy of talent up and down the grid, plus some breathtaking action, World Superbikes 2009 will be remembered as one of the more vintage years in the series' history.

Standout performances are apparent from a myriad of different riders, from Ben Spies's title victory, Noriyuki Haga's turn on the Xerox Ducati and Max Biaggi's surprise pace on the Aprilia.

However, they weren't the only riders to make headlines in 2009, so instead of making you choose one person from a huge pool of talent, we are giving you the opportunity to give each one a mark out of ten.

From Spies, to Jakub Smrz, down to Makoto Tamada, give your opinion with your clicks and we'll count down the ten leading riders before discovering who you consider to be the 2009 WSBK Rider of the Year.

We've given you a large selection of riders to choose from, but here a few people that might be worth considering:

Ben Spies: The statistics don't lie – Ben Spies was imperious in his debut World Superbike season leading Yamaha to its first WSBK title.
Noriyuki Haga: A disappointing end aside, this was Noriyuki Haga's most successful season in a career that has spanned more than a decade now
Max Biaggi: A switch to returnees Aprilia yielded more success than many would have expected, Max Biaggi looked a revived man in 2009
Jonathan Rea: Took on the Ten Kate Honda baton from Carlos Checa and Ryuichi Kiyonari to win twice in his maiden season
Leon Haslam: Defied his team's lack of budget towards the end to produce some consistently excellent results on the unfancied Stiggy Honda.

That is just what we think though – it is your opinion that really counts, so CLICK HERE and get voting!

LOL @ Dorna.

The WSBK Superbike Series is attracting all kinds of riders, sponsors and seeing the paddock numbers swell with top flight racers.

Not to mention an explosion of intrest and new fans coming on board.

I know me and my buddies did not watch a single AMA race in 2009. We all followed ever race in WSBK.

WSBK is now the best racing series on the planet if you want to see some real racing.

AMA is trying to buy back the SuperBike series. Or so the rumor control mill has it. Seems all the AMA members are none to happy.

Dorna and the AMA. What a mess.
