Following a decent turn at Phillip Island earlier this year, Yoshimura Suzuki join the World Superbike ranks again this weekend with young Australian rider Josh Waters.

Josh Waters and Yoshimura Suzuki will bolster the World Superbike Championship grids for the second time this season when they appear at this weekend's Miller Motorsports Park round.

The Australian rider competed in the 2011 season opener at Phillip Island earlier this year, the 24-year-old showing well on home soil to qualify 11th and finish 13th in race two.

Though a hugely successful operation on the Japanese domestic scene, that result proved Yoshimura Suzuki's first points on the world stage, convincing them to make a second appearance this year at the American round, once more with Waters.

Yoshimura, which had a single WSBK outing with Daisaku Sakai at Monza in 2010, is currently evaluating whether to step up to the world championship full-time in 2012.

The AMA Superbike affiliated Yoshimura Suzuki team will also be present at Miller Motorsports Park for the latest round of its national series.

AMA superbikes have different regulations than WSBK. So explanation is quite simple...there is no competitive bike for WSBK in USA. Nobody is gonna buid one just for a single wild card. The only competitive bikes from national series are the BSB ones.
