Matteo Baiocco will make his second appearance on the World Superbike Championship stage this season after signing up to compete at Brno as a wild-card.
The Italian, who races full-time in the CIV Italian Superbike series, competed as a wild-card for Barni Ducati at his home event of Misano, the former Pedercini Kawasaki rider scoring points with a run to 12th position.
Though Barni Ducati ran two bikes on that occasion, with Alex Polita partnering Baiocco, the team will focus on just a single machine in the Czech Republic.
In addition to Baiocco, Brno will also see the WSBK
debut of Hungarian racer Viktor Kispataki, who will ride a Prop-tech Honda. The 25-year-old has enjoyed success in domestic series' across Europe, though this will be his first appearance on the world stage.
