Davies satisfied with Donington double finish

15 May 2012

Chaz Davies has made gains in the World Superbike Championship standings after completing his first double finish of the season at Donington Park, including a run to seventh in the second race.

The British rider has endured a fractured first season in the series thus far, but flashes have pace aboard the ParkinGO MTC Aprilia raised hopes that he would be able to challenge further up the field on home soil at Donington Park.

Indeed, though problems getting the right set-up on the RSV-4 consigned Davies to 16th on the grid, the Welshman made good progress in the races, finishing 12th in the first encounter and seventh in the second, results he was satisfied with.

“If we think about how we were on Friday and how we have been fighting, the outcome is definitely positive. We have scored twice and most importantly we got a lot of information back. At the end I am satisfied with the result, especially on race two where we performed better. We are ready to go to Miller!”
