Inclement weather thwarted the opening day of a two-day private World Superbike test at Motorland Aragon in Spain yesterday.
A number of teams are present at the test in preparation for the eighth round of the World Superbike Championship at the venue next weekend.
Factory Aprilia duo
Max Biaggi and Eugene Laverty plus test rider Alex Hoffmann, BMW's Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri, BMW Italia Goldbet pair
Michel Fabrizio and Ayrton Badovini and Kawasaki's Tom Sykes and Loris Baz are participating in the shakedown.
ParkinGo Aprilia's Chaz Davies and the Fixi Crescent Suzuki team of Leon Camier and John Hopkins are also taking part in the test.
However, heavy downpours washed out much of the schedule yesterday, with French youngster Baz taking the opportunity to venture out onto the circuit to gain experience of riding in the wet on the ZX-10R.
Baz has been drafted into the team as a replacement for the injured Joan Lascorz.
The test continues today.
