Niccolo Canepa will be back in World Superbike Championship action at Silverstone this weekend after making a sufficient recovery from a bout of Bell's palsy.

The Italian was forced to skip the Brno round after falling foul of the illness, but while he admits he isn't back to full fitness, he feels ready enough to jump aboard the Red Devils Roma Ducati at Silverstone this weekend.

“I'm very happy to get back on my bike after a month. It's been a very difficult time, but thanks to all the people who have been close to me I found the strength to heal in record time, and I'm ready to race at Silverstone. I really like the English circuit and even if I'm still not 100 per cent fit I'm convinced that we can do two pretty good races.”

Former MotoGP rider Canepa was replaced by Alex Polita at Brno, the latter scoring a 12th place finish for the Italian team.
