9 September 2012

David Salom has become the second World Superbike rider to be forced out to miss the 12th round of the season at the Nurburgring after injuring himself in an accident during Superpole.

Though he has suffered no notable damage, the Pedercini Kawasaki rider says he is still experiencing dizziness and will subsequently miss the Nurburgring races as a precaution.

Despite not racing for the remainder of the weekend, Salom is expected to be fit to make his MotoGP debut at the San Marino Grand Prix next week having been announced as Ivan Silva's replacement in the Avintia team.
