Donington Park wins 2012 Superbike Organiser Award

The UK's Donington Park circuit has won the 2012 Superbike Organiser Award, Infront Motor Sports has announced.

'From a promotional, logistical and sporting point of view, the circuit guaranteed the required standards that helped the entire Superbike paddock work in the best possible way in 2012' said an Infront statement.

Paolo Flammini, CEO of Infront Motor Sports, declared: “I would like to express my warmest and sincerest congratulations to the Donington Park circuit management and all its staff, who did a great job in 2012 and who demonstrated that the circuit was the best overall of the 2012 eni FIM Superbike World Championship from an organisation point of view”.

Meanwhile the 2012 Superbike Media Award has won by Assen, for 'enabling media to carry out their activities in the best possible way and for the overall running of the press centre'.

The provisional date for the 2013 Donington Park round is May 26, with Assen is scheduled for April 28.

I think we should congratulate Donnington considering where they were a only two years ago. And, in relation to the above comment, don't think that they have any silver with which to grease Infront's palms
Facts were for me, entering the circuit, parked bike , bought ticket and into circuit all in three minutes, and out again onto road in less!
Also, best racing of year, fantastic track and brilliant atmosphere
Silverstone, on the other hand, cannot compare
